Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 21, 2026
This policy describes what personal information Docqet (“we”, “us”) collects from visitors to docqet.com, why we collect it, and how we handle it. Docqet is a pre-launch product. This policy covers the marketing site and waitlist only. Separate terms will apply to the product itself when it launches.
What we collect
Waitlist signups. When you join the waitlist we store your email address and the IP address of the device you signed up from. Both values are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.
Analytics. We use PostHog to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). PostHog is configured to run cookielessly. We do not collect names, emails, or other identifiers through analytics.
Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps short-lived request logs that may include IP addresses. We do not control these logs but they are not used for marketing or profiling.
Why we collect it
Email address: to notify you when early access is available and to send occasional product updates you agreed to receive by joining the waitlist.
IP address: to prevent abuse of the signup form (rate limiting, duplicate detection) and to give us a record of where signups originated if we need to investigate suspicious activity.
Our lawful basis for this processing (for EU/UK visitors under GDPR) is legitimate interest in running a waitlist for a product we are building.
How we protect it
Email and IP addresses are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being written to our storage. The encryption keys are held in our infrastructure provider’s encrypted secret store and are never written to logs or source control.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
Waitlist data is retained for up to 18 months from sign-up, or until you unsubscribe, whichever happens first. After 18 months the encrypted record is automatically deleted. If the product launches before then, you will be asked to either continue (with fresh consent for the product’s terms) or have your data deleted.
Every waitlist email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@docqet.com to request removal at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. EU/UK visitors additionally have rights under GDPR to data portability and to object to processing. California residents have rights under CCPA/CPRA including the right to know and the right to delete.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@docqet.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Third parties
We use the following processors to run the waitlist and site:
- Vercel (hosting)
- Upstash (Redis storage for waitlist)
- Resend (transactional email)
- PostHog (cookieless analytics)
- Cloudflare (DNS)
Each has its own privacy practices; we only share the minimum data needed for the service to function.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we’ll update the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be announced to anyone on the waitlist.
